Put your analytical objectives into action
by stretching beyond
Welcome to Applied BioAnalytics (AB),
the experts in capillary electrophoresis (CE) analysis of biologics.
We will help you reach beyond current CE capabilities
by putting your analytical objectives into action.
We do that in four ways:

We do that in four ways:
Sample Analysis

Fast and competitive analysis of your biologics in our
AB lab
Method Developement

Efficient CE method development by our experienced team
CE-SDS

Use of our unique CE-SDS (SDS-CGE) gel with a FLAT baseline for easy peak integration
CE(SDS)-MS

Exclusive CE(SDS)-MS (SDS-CGE-MS), matching optical detection CE-SDS so as to ID unexpected/unknown peaks
Put another way, we will work with you on all your:
Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), mAb-variants, nanobodies, fusion proteins and other protein-based biologics
Purity/size heterogeneity
(via CE-SDS and CE(SDS)-MS)
SDS-CAGE analysis of an anti-Covid-19 monoclonal antibody. Both reduced and intact forms of the therapeutic protein were analyzed using a 0.8% agarose-TBE gel composition. The inset highlights a zoomed-in section of the baseline-separated ngHC and HC peaks from parallel runs, with the intact form migrating within 6 minutes, followed by stable baselines without any disturbances.
SDS-CAGE SEPARATION OF AN ANTI-COVID-19 MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY, RESOLVING A 10 KDA INTERNAL STANDARD, THE LIGHT CHAIN (LC), PNGASE F-ENZYME, NON-GLYCOSYLATED HEAVY CHAIN (NGHC) AND HEAVY CHAIN (HC) FRAGMENTS, THE LC/HC PEAK, AND THE INTACT MAB. THE ZOOMED-IN SECTION HIGHLIGHTS THE BASELINE-SEPARATED PEAKS FROM PARALLEL RUNS.
Charge heterogeneity
(via cIEF)
Capillary isoelectric focusing (cIEF) analysis of an anti-Covid-19 monoclonal antibody sample.
Section a: Basic peaks; Section b: Main peak; Section c: Acidic peaks region 1; Section d: Acidic peaks region 2.
Charge variant analysis (via CZE)
Alternatively charge heterogeneity analysis can be completed by CZE.
TRIPLICATE INJECTION OF AN ANTI-COVID-19 MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY ANALYZED USING CAPILLARY ISOELECTRIC FOCUSING (CIEF), HIGHLIGHTING DISTINCT REGIONS, INCLUDING BASIC PEAKS (SECTION A), THE MAIN PEAK (SECTION B), AND ACIDIC FORMS (SECTIONS C AND D).
